Information About Bread of Life Church
Founded
in October 1974, Bread of Life Church is a full-gospel,
non-denominational church.
Our first meetings were held in the Chapel of the Lynchburg General Hospital.
From there, we moved to Forest Hills Shopping Center, where we met until
April 1980 when we moved to our present facilities.
Bread
of Life Church is an interdenominational fellowship working freely
within the body of Christ. We enjoy freedom of worship and praise
in the Holy Spirit, with the ultimate purpose of magnifying the name of
Jesus.
The
directives of Bread
of Life Church are to declare that Jesus Christ is Lord and to proclaim
the gospel of the Kingdom of God to all the world.
Declaration of our Faith
We
believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He was born of virgin
birth, and He was and is the Word made flesh. He lived a sinless
life, died on the cross to bear our sins, and was raised from the dead
by the power of God. He is the Savior of mankind, and without the
shedding of His blood there is no forgiveness of sin.
We
believe in Water Baptism by immersion for every believer. We believe
that Jesus is the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, and the Gifts of the Spirit
are vital in the fulfilling of the Great Commission. We believe that
the Bible is the inspired Holy Word of God.
We
believe that Jesus is the Lord of lords and King of kings, and His Kingdom
is moving in and through His people in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We
believe that Jesus Christ is coming for a Glorious Church without spot
or blemish, a Church manifesting His presence, His character, His nature,
and His power in the earth.
Vision
The vision of Bread of Life Church is to establish men and women of character and integrity and to emanate an atmosphere of worship and love, releasing the presence of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. This is done through the teaching of God's Word, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and through the person of Jesus Christ.
